Customised Embedded Electronic Prototypes

The RDI service "Customised embedded electronic prototypes" provides specialist support for the design, manufacture and testing of electronic prototypes intended for applications with specific functions. The electronic prototype represents an essential stage between the technical concept and the final product, making it possible to verify functionality, carry out measurements, identify the necessary improvements and optimise the hardware or firmware solutions before development on a larger scale.

Through this service, ICSTM supports the rapid production of customised electronic circuits, from the definition of the functional requirements and the design of the electronic schematic through to the CAD design of the PCB, the CNC machining of the board, the soldering of the components and the testing of the resulting prototype. The use of prototyping boards makes it possible to accelerate the development stages, reduce costs and lower the technical risks associated with moving directly to final manufacturing.

The service is relevant to the development of electronic equipment, embedded systems, smart devices, control modules, ICT solutions, medical devices, automotive applications, household appliances and special-purpose equipment. The results obtained can support the validation of concepts, the testing of circuit behaviour, firmware updating, the integration of dedicated functions and the preparation of the subsequent stages of industrialisation.

The beneficiaries of the service may be companies, public institutions, research laboratories, product developers, manufacturers of electronic equipment and organisations active in fields such as the automotive industry, general electronics, medical devices, military devices, household appliances and the ICT sector.

Pentru desfășurarea activităților sunt utilizate echipamente și materiale specializate, precum Protomat S 103The activities are carried out using specialised equipment and materials, such as the Protomat S 103, a vacuum unit, a constant pressure line, a professional soldering and desoldering station with adjustable temperature, milling cutters and drill bits, dedicated PCBs, sintered material for the machining bed, special adhesive tape, vacuum and HEPA filters, dedicated machining tools, soldering consumables, resin and soldering flux, PCB cleaning agents, dedicated auxiliary instruments for electronics and other consumables required for the production of the prototypes.
