The RDI service "Study on the assessment of ESG performance and sustainability in companies" provides analytical and methodological support for the assessment of environmental, social and governance indicators, with a view to informing organisational decisions, improving sustainability reporting and aligning with international ESG requirements.
Through this service, ICSTM supports companies and institutions wishing to analyse their own level of ESG performance, identify their strengths and vulnerabilities, and link sustainability practices with economic results, organisational reputation and long-term competitiveness. The analysis can incorporate indicators relating to environmental impact, social responsibility, corporate governance, the efficiency of resource use, managerial transparency and the contribution to sustainable development.
The service uses statistical methods and multi-criteria assessment models to interpret ESG data and to produce comparative assessments relevant to reporting, benchmarking, strategic planning and the improvement of organisational performance. The results can support the preparation of internal reports, sustainability strategies, compliance analyses, management policies and the documentation required in dealings with investors, partners, authorities and other stakeholders.
The beneficiaries of the service may include companies and public institutions in industry, manufacturing, the food industry, metallurgy and steel, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, energy and services, as well as other organisations interested in ESG reporting, sustainability assessment and stronger alignment with international standards.
The activities are carried out using software tools for statistical analysis and modelling, such as SPSS, SmartPLS and Excel, economic and ESG databases, and the IT infrastructure required for the processing, interpretation and reporting of data. Through this RDI capability, ICSTM provides beneficiaries with applied scientific support for turning ESG indicators into information useful for decision-making, performance and sustainable development.
