Through the RDI service "Study of glass transition phenomena in advanced polymeric and composite materials, for performance optimisation and processing control", ICSTM offers specialist analytical support for investigating the thermal behaviour of materials by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The service makes it possible to determine the relevant thermal transitions in solid samples, including thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers, elastomers, polymer blends, composite materials with fillers and materials with bio-based components.
The data obtained support material selection, the optimisation of processing parameters, quality control and the development of products with improved performance.
